Introduction
Everyone has at least one memory they can fully tell you in every detail. Have you ever had a day where you remember absolutely every detail of that day?
For this lesson, we'll learn more about the history of September 11th, 2001, and we will be doing a virtual tour of the memorial and museum on September 11th, 2001.
The picture below is the memorial site of one of the twin towers base sites.
Task
You're going to write an essay about two views on the day of 9/11.
It could be about someone in the towers, outside the buildings (bystanders), plane passengers, cops or firefighters, or emergency workers. Even you could the view as a terrorist.
Think about those people that were in the towers, or the planes, and what they went through. What do you think they were thinking? How did they feel?
Process
Follow the link to this video and article about the timeline of September 11th, 2001.
Next, you're going to follow this link that shows the beginning to end of what happened the day the twin towers fell, the Pentagon, and the one plane that went down in remote farmland in Pennsylvania.
Look at the 3 different pictures below (from the day 9/11 happened), you're going to tell me: What do you see? How did those people feel? How do they look? You are going to put yourself in their shoes.
Give me three sentences on the emotions and such that you see, by answering the questions above.
Finally, we will be taking a virtual field trip to see the memorial and museum of 9/11. This tour will help you write your short essay on two views from people that were there or remember. Do these videos and pictures and articles give you the information needed to complete an essay?
