Introduction

Basketball Unit

During this unit we have focused on three offensive skills; dribbling, passing, and shooting.

Developing your skills takes both physical repetition as well as an understanding of certain techniques that will make those skills easier to consistently perform correctly. 

Task

Think about the offensive skill (dribbling, passing, or shooting) that you need to work on most given your experience in class. 

You will be responsible for leading yourself in 15 minutes of independent practice next class period. When the teacher checks in with you, you should be able to explain what you are working on, why that skill is important, and technical details that you are focusing on during your practice.

Conclusion

The internet has an incredible amount of information and tutorials available to use. Keep in mind that videos can help you to see the drills that are used to help improved and perfect skills not only in basketball, but for many different physical activities.
