This WebQuest has been designed to help students explore the life cycle of a frog. In this project, students will search the web having access to different resources such as pictures, videos, and websites in order to gain more knowledge about the life cycle of frogs. Then, the students will use the vocabulary words and transitional words to describe and/or represent the life cycle of a frog.

How do those little tiny frog eggs turn into an adult frog?
Search the web to carry out an investigation about this topic and discover the four steps in a frog's life cycle. By the end of the week, you will be able to describe and provide some details about each stage.
Task

You will have access to websites, online books, and a video. which will guide you on your journey through this research project on a frog's life cycle. You will also learn about many other characteristics of the frog and peculiar details.
Then, you will take what you have learned and complete the following:
1. Watch video on Youtube, review vocabulary on quizziz, and Nearpod
2. Read and write the different stages of the life cycle of a frog on Seesaw.
3. Use Flipgrid to record yourself explaining the life cycle of a frog. You can use the worksheet you previously worked on to guide your thinking and to show the audience a sample of what you are explaining. In class, your classmates will have access to the link to your presentation.
Process
Step 1: Vocabulary review
- Watch video pay attention to the transitional words (first, and next, and then, oh and finally)
- Go to Quizizz to review the vocabulary related to the topic and play.
- On Nearpod complete the chart using the word bank.
Step 2: Show your awesome skills at reading

- Then, go to Seesaw Use the
to record your voice reading the book.
- After, use the
to click on the words and label the pictures of the cycle of the frog.
- Finally, use the
to draw the numbers from 1 to 6 to order the life cycle of the frog.
Step 3: Report your discoveries about frogs and their life cycle
- On Flipgrid record yourself explaining the life cycle of a frog. Use the flashcards to guide their thinking and to show your audience a sample of what you are explaining.

Students will carry out an activity in which they will be asked to use the vocabulary words and transitional words to represent the life cycle of a frog.
Activity for students in level 1 (entering)
- Cut out the pictures and glue them in the correct order.
- Allow them to use the book to label the pictures.
Activity for students in level 2 (emerging) and 3 (developing).
Instructions for students:
- Cut out the pictures and glue them in the correct order.
- Allow them to use the book to write their own sentences using transitional words and sentences frames.
Teachers will be around the classroom redirecting and offering support when needed.
Variations:
- For the seesaw activity, choose a lower leveled or upper level book about this topic to meet your learners proficiency level to challenge them enough that they can succeed.
- For the flipgrid activity, use the rubric to stablish the maximun or mininum your learners can reach considering their level.
- Provide more/ less time, this can be a project of a week or less depending on your learners pace.
