Introduction
You may have heard the word translation before and have an idea of what is it, but have you ever tried to translate something by yourself. The goal of this webquest is to learn and know the differences between the three direct translation techniques and how to apply them on a text using the source language and the target language.
It is important to know that transition consist in reproducing in the receptor language the closes ad natural equivalent of the source-language message, first in term of meaning and secondly in terms of style.
Direct translation techniques
These translation techniques can be use if the concepts and structure of the source language are somehow similar on the target language.
Borrowing: in this case we use the same word from the source language into the target language, this happens when the target language does not have nothing similar to this word.
Calque: basically, is coining a new term can be syntactic or structural.
Literal: the sentences have the same structure on the source language and the target language. Have the same number of words.

Para los editores de la revista Condé Nast Traveler, quienes incluyeron a Panamá entre los 22 lugares para visitar en el 2022 es esencial que los viajeros exploren la biodiversidad de las selvas y las playas del istmo; siendo precisamente Bocas del Toro una visita “obligada”, gracias a sus extensas playas pocos concurridas y aguas turquesas que albergan el 95% de las especies de coral que se encuentran en Caribe. Asimismo, destacaron los atractivos turísticos de la provincia de Chiriquí, región caracterizada por sus montañas y excelente café. Esta importante revista internacional es vista mensualmente por más de 2 millones de usuarios. En tanto, la revista Travel+Leisure, que cuenta con más de 5 millones de visitas únicas mensuales, incluyó a Panamá entre los 50 lugares ideales para viajar en 2022. La lista, que hace referencia a los mejores destinos para visitar en todo el mundo, destaca el eslogan de la nueva plataforma de mercadeo turístico, “Vive Por Más”, como uno de los más atractivos del momento y cataloga al país como “un lugar ideal para quienes buscan salir del modo resort y entrar en un mundo abierto a la exploración y la aventura”. Además, menciona las oportunidades de aprendizaje cultural que brindan las siete comunidades indígenas que conviven en Panamá, al igual que la experiencia que ofrece una ciudad cosmopolita como la ciudad de Panamá y la majestuosidad de su Casco Viejo, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco.
