Families have become a major issue that the world is struggling with today. The idea of a "traditional" family has shifted, and it is our

responsibility to be aware of and comprehend the various family types. There is no such thing as a perfect family, and no one family

structure is preferable to another. By the end of this lesson, you should have a better understanding of your friends and be able to

respect their differences. After all, it's your uniqueness that makes you, you!

Step 1:  To begin our lesson, students will go to this link and view a YouTube video that describes what a family is and the different

types of families and their roles and responsilbilities: https://youtu.be/hpCyiyNqzlE

https://youtu.be/5s5ryK8cVaE

Step 2: Following the completion of the video, the students would all participate in a family structure activity based on what they had

learned from the video: link to the game https://www.educaplay.com/learning-resources/12092885-the_family.html

Step 3: The students will then make a family tree to show which family they belong to. To assist them in creating the tree, a link to an

example will be placed. https://youtu.be/-1FeqZPVXcY

Step 4: Students will then compose a letter to a friend about their family and the roles and responsibilities of each family member.

Students' knowledge about their family will be tested through this task. https://youtu.be/y2d-0dIimgY
