Introduction
Scientists often study cells since they are the most important part of every living thing. Studying cells helps us understand how our life and bodies work. There are many different studies done on different topics of the cells. Scientists study about diseases or illnesses, how our body functions, or how we grow. Learning about the cells not only makes us more intelligent but it also makes us think about our lives.
Task
Your job in the WebQuest is to learn about current research involving different
types of cells. You will investigate how scientists studying diverse scientific topics
are adding to the current body of knowledge about cells. You also will explore
questions and answers about the roles that different cells play in our bodies. You
will answer a set of questions to demonstrate what you have learned. Once
you've explored information to increase your knowledge of developments in cell
studies and how cells work in the human body, you'll write a summary about one
of the topics you investigated. The purpose of this summary is to write about a
scientific topic using a style suited for posting on a Web site.
Process
Proteins that protect and repair the brain can delay or stop growth
decreased blood flow to the brain is also a cause. An oral drug that you take 2 times a day can help with memory impairment.
An experiment on rats demonstrates that people can obtain
stem cells out of fat cells, and they can help repair injury to
the spinal cord.
Since human cells and frog cells have similar proteins it is easy for scientists to study them.
They are a type of cells that support and protect neurons in the nervous system by farming a layer that insulates nerve axons they stop blood clotting, and without them people can develop conditions such as Alzheimer's disease or schizophrenia.
It doesn't digest itself because it is lined with ephical cells, they produce mucus. that forms a barrier between the stomach & the
contents.
Evaluation
Task.
1 point-The task was not completed
2 points-it appears that some effort was made to complete the task ,but important information is missing
3 points-The task was completed as assigned, but some information was faulty

2 points-The overall summary was lacking.Answers to questions were not complete.
3 points-Overall, the task was completed correctly.Student may have appeared to rush through project or not been thorough.
4 points-The results show that a lot of thought went into collecting and summarizing information.
Points for process- 3
Web summary
1 point- Summary was sloppy and not well prepared
2 points- The summary included key information but lacked general cohesiveness.
3 points- Information was presented well, but lacked organization.
4 points- Summary was well organized information was clearly and concisely stated.
Points for Web Summary- 3
Conclusion
After reading about all the different types of ways cells help take care of our bodies i hope you learned a thing or two. I have talked about how science and cells can stop memory impairment, how fat cells can help injuries in the spinal cord, why the stomach doesn’t digest itself and a few more. The cells in your body are probably multiplying right this second.
