Introduction

Research in cells can improve many people's lives

Task

We learn new things every day about cells. This Webquest will show some things we learned about cells so far.

Process

(1) What are 3 causes of memory loss

* Depression-  It mimics a sign of memory loss, making it hard for you to concentrate, stay organized, remember things, and get stuff done.

* Dehydration- Severe dehydration can cause confusion, drowsiness, memory loss, and other symptoms that look like dementia

* Side effects on medication- Many prescribed and over-the-counter drugs or combinations of drugs can cause cognitive problems and memory loss side effects

What are 3 ways to prevent memory loss?

* Physical activity- physical activity increases blood flow through your whole body this could help keep your memory sharp.

* Get organized- you are more likely to forget things if your home is messy and all your items are randomized around your house, making calendars, and planners help you forget things less.

* What you eat- Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables and drinking green tea as these foods contain antioxidants in abundance, which can keep your brain cells from rusting.

(2) How might fat cells be able to help people with spinal cord injuries

A new study has shown that fat can be used to treat central nervous system disorders.

(3) How are frog eggs being used in research involving human cells?

Immature frog eggs can rejuvenate adult human cells, molecules in the amphibian nucleus coax mature human and mouse DNA back to an adaptable, stem cell-like state.

(4)What are Schwann cells, How are they affected in multiple sclerosis patients?]

Schwann cells are the glia of the peripheral nervous system or the system responsible for sensing things in the body and sending that information to the brain. When myelin sheaths of the central nervous systems are lost it results in ina condition known as multiple sclerosis, a disease in which there are communication issues between the brain and body.

(5)What role do cells play in preventing the stomach from digesting itself

The stomach has a lot of cells that prevent the stomach acid from digesting the stomach including g the epithelial cells that create a protective mucus preventing the acid from leaking through the stomach and harming the body.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Doing research on cells helps us know more about our human body and can help everyone, and hopefully, we will know more in the future!

hope you enjoyed ;D
