Beef Breeds of Cattle

Introduction

Hello friends! 

     This web quest will help us learn more about the different breeds of cattle! It is very important to be familiar with cattle breeds and their place of origin, traits, and other information. This will be a fun way for you to strengthen your research and literacy skills. I hope you all enjoy this assignment.

* Would you like to work as a pair? Yes, you can work with a partner.

 

Task

Objective:

  • Research your breed of choice using the websites provided.( pick out only10 breeds of your choice)
  • Then create a word Document or PowerPoint Slide show to record your information. Feel free to include photos of your breeds.
  • When your project is completed, please print out and make a booklet with well designed cover page. Post a copy to Teams on the Teacher's chat.
  • Hand in your booklet on the reporting day.
  • You will make a class presentation either from the booklet or using the soft copy on Teams. 
Process

Your research needs to include the following information about your 10 breeds of beef cattle selected:

  • Picture of the chosen breed.
  • Name of Breed
  • Origin of Breed (country it comes from)
  • Physical Characteristics 
    • Weight in kg
    • Color
    • Overall size
  • Interesting Facts (short sentences)
