Introduction

Today we are going to look at how to start up a project.

You will be learning how to prepare for a project and how to manage it.

You will be carrying out experiments to better understand how projects are done.

A project is an activity carried out by people in order to get money, knowledge and skills.

Examples of projects:

. Bee keeping.

. Poultry keeping.

. Brick making.

. Tree planting.

. Rabbit keeping.

. Fish farming.

. Livestock farming.

. Crop growing.

. Piggery.

Now you are going to tell me what we need to start or prepare for a project.

 

Task

You will be learning what you need to start up a project.

The video is about how to start up a poultry farm.

There will be  a number of questions for you to answer and a final project to show what you have learned.

Process

Complete each of the following questions and then the final project.

1. What is a project.

2. Give four examples of projects you know.

3. Choosing a project of your own choice:

- Name the example of the project.

- write down a diary of the things you will need to start up this project and how you can manage it.

- Using clay, a box , wood or metal, mold  or make out the project that you have chosen, write down the steps you took to make out this project using a power point presentation.

Evaluation

Rate your self:

In your power point presentation rate your self from a scale of 1-4. 1 means you have never heard of how projects how to start a project and 4 means you feel like you know everything about it.

- You will be graded according to the accuracy and thoroughness  of your information. You should fulfill the following requirements.

1. Give the meaning of the word project.

2. List down the examples of projects.

3. Steps needed to start up a project.

4. The name of the project you have chosen and the steps taken to make it.

- Include the real diagram of the project by either molding it or making it.

Conclusion

You have learned about projects, how to start up a project and how to manage it.
