Traditional British and Russian breakfast

Introduction

Our life is a cycle of endless events, many of which are repeated every day. We wake up, put ourselves in order, have breakfast and hurry about our business to school and work, return home, have dinner and go to bed. And so it is every day and every year.

And if you start the day completely differently? You wake up from a ray of sunlight on your pillow and a kiss from your mother on your sleepy cheeks, and a delicious breakfast is waiting for you on the table. And the mood for the whole day depends on how this first event of the day will go, how pleasant it will be.

In this project, we have set a goal for you to analyze Russian and British breakfasts, analyze the main differences and make a menu that would be suitable for us and our friends from Britain.

We believe that the topic of our project is quite relevant, because in our country it is now very fashionable to try dishes and cuisines of different countries and peoples of the world.

Project objectives:

1. Remember what is usually eaten in Russia for breakfast.

2. Get acquainted with the British breakfast and give basic examples.

3. Compare the breakfasts of Britain with Russia.

4. Make a breakfast menu that would be suitable for a resident of Russia and Britain

Task

1.Choose which food your think is better to have for breakfast and say why. Use the picture in Ex.37

2. Read what they have for breakfast in Britian (see page 59 of your textbook)  and compare their breakfast with yours.

3. Role-play a dialogue about the British breakfast you would prefer. Use reference words or expressions:(p.57.Ex 37 and p 60 Ex 49)

4. Fill in the table ( see below)

British breakfast

5. Make a breakfast menu for yourself for a week .

Process

summarize the difference between breakfast in British and in Russia and make a menu that suits you and your British friend.

Evaluation

The work is evaluated according to the following criteria - the presentation of the menu, the logic of speech, the correctness of the use of new vocabulary and grammar, answers to additional questions on the topic.

Conclusion

So, we compared the traditional British and Russian breakfasts and made up menus.

As a result of our project work, we got acquainted with the new words, grammar structures, made up dialogues, worked with the text and highlighted the main idea. 

The end result of the work was a general menu, which we compiled after analyzing British and Russian breakfasts.
