This webquest will be used in a 5th grade mathematics class. This webquest contains graphs, data, and finding information.
Introduction:
Many people know the logic behind sports and the rules that apply to those sports. Many people do not know the math behind those sports. A lot of data is collected on players, teams, and many more by media in our country. You have been selected to explore how math and sports connect.
Task
You will learn how math and sports go hand in hand through web explorations. You will explore sites on different teams. After you pick three teams, you will gather the stats for each team. These stats will include average height, overall wins, and overall losses. You will then put this information into a chart. It is time to start moving your brains.
Process
Process I: Find three teams.

Process II: Find a website for each team you chose. Once you find the website you will find the 3 questions that were asked about each team.
Process III: Once data is found you will use this chart to add in the data you found.

Evaluation
1.) Print off the graph.
