After reading and comepleteing your graphic organizer you will get to use a wave simulator, then you will put your knowledge to the test to see who can answer more questions correctly about waves.
Process
Go to this website to learn about waves. As you are reading be sure to complete your graphic organizer.
When you have finished reading and finished your graphic organizer, visit this wave simulator. Be sure and use all of the different components.
Evaluation
Now that you are an expert on waves, race your partner to see who can get the most answers correct the quickest. Click this link to take the google form quiz.
Conclusion
Great job, you are now an expert on waves! Soon we are going to get to make waves in real life.

Performance Expectation: Develop a model of waves to describe patterns in terms of amplitude and wavelength and to show that waves can cause objects to move.
Standard Number and Description: 4-PS4-1 Waves and their application in technology
Disciplinary Core Ideas: Waves are regular patterns of motion that can be made in water by disturbing the surface. When they are made in water, the water goes up and down, but does not change in direction except when water meets a beach. Waves that are the same type can have different amplitudes and wavelengths.
