There are eight planets in our Solar System! Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. You should be able to draw all planets, color in the planet with its unique color, and know 3 facts about the planet.

Task
You will get to know your planets in the Solar System. You will need to draw the planets in order from closest to the sun out. In these drawings you will need to include the color, landmarks, and if there is life on the planet or not. Under the drawn planet you will need to write at least three facts about the planet
Process
During study time you should:
1. Research one planet through books, videos, or any work we have went over on the unit.
2. Gather your supplies to draw and color one planet and write three facts about the planet.
3. Show the picture to the class and teach them the new facts you learned about the planet!

Conclusion
After the lesson on the planets of the Solar System students will know all their shapes, colors, and landmarks. They will also know a couple facts about the planets.
