Introduction
This fictional novel takes place in 1963. We already learned about some of the culture of the 1960's, but as we go into our Informational Unit, you are going to discover some events that took place. To help you understand the historical background of our country in the South during that time, you will complete a webquest of what life was like in the South in the 1960s. Understanding the major events that led up to 1963, and post-1963 will provide historical insight regarding the point of view this story is told from.
Task
Your task is to travel back into time to discover what life was like in the South in the 1960's. You will navigate through different websites, read various information about this time period, and watch the video in the introduction to locate your answers. Then, you will answer questions for the scavenger hunt.
You will submit your answers to the questions in complete sentences, restating the question for each answer. You may either type your answers on the Document in Schoology or write your answers on the document and turn them into the turn in bin.
