Elementary PE lesson plan

Introduction

In this first unit, students will be covering PE Standard 1. The physically literate individual demonstrates competency in a variety of motor skills and movement patterns. Students will learn the basic skills and movements for example moving fast and slow, responding to cues, jumping, hopping, leaping, and staying in the lines. 

Task

TASK! Students will be outside on a soccer or grass field and a coned-off area and the game is called Animal laps the teacher will call out an animal and the students will have to run at the speed of the different animals the teacher calls off. For example, they will accomplish going slow, fast, staying in the area needed all while exercising.

2. We're students able to accomplish running at different speeds?

Process

First, the activity will be explained and students warm up with an activity. Next, I will have students start off slow with easy animals to get their bodies moving then I will speed up the game and see if students can run faster. 

Evaluation

If the students are able to complete the task and run-in a circle at the speed asked. 

 

Conclusion

After this assignment, the students should be able to accomplish being able to run and walk at different speeds for a duration on time.
