The sign of the function

Introduction

there is three type of function 

  1. constant function
  2. linear function
  3. quadratric function

and determine the signs of the function and repersent on number line .

By the end of this lesson the students should objective able to :-

  1. Recognize constant function , linear function , quadratric function 
  2. solving problems of sign of the function 
  3. Drawing number line

  1. Constant function :- 

F(x)=c 

+ ve for all x belong to R

- ve for all x belong to R 

  • determine the sign of the function-

​​​​​​​1_ f(x)= 10     solution   f is + ve for all x belong to R 

 

    2_ Linear function :- 

                                            f(x) = bx + c 

   put                                      bx+c=0           

 

3_ quadratric function:- 

                                            f(x)= ax²+bx +c
