Do you know the importance of recycling? Well, you are about to learn! Get ready to use your acting skills because you are going to be a star in no time! Lights, Camera, Action!
Task
Recycling is very important but there are many people out there that do not do it. Your task is to come up with a minute video convincing your classmates why they should recycle and why recycling is important.
Process
This task will take three days.
Day 1:
Today we will be in the computer lab doing research on why recycling is important. Before the end of class, you will need to play this game https://www.abcya.com/games/recycling_game and email me a picture of the screen after all of the recycling is sorted so I have proof you played. You will have to watch this video and write down the steps of recycling paper. These notes will be turned in on the third day.
Day 2:
Next, you will be able to pick a partner to do your commercial with. You will get an hour to work on writing your script for the video. Make sure there are lines for you and your partner to say. Both students must speak at least 3 lines to get full credit. The video must convince your classmates on why they should recycle and why it is good for the planet.
Day 3:
Lastly, you will get 45 minutes to practice your lines for the video. In the last 15 minutes of class, you will record your commercial, email it to me, and turn in your steps for recycling paper. Tomorrow we will be watching all the videos in class and deciding which video was the most convincing. Each student in the group with the best video will receive one free pass for whichever assignment they choose.
