ED 102- WebQuest

Introduction

Hello my fellow paleontologists! The world through Dinosaurs bones is going to be adventurous. So strap on your safety hat and let get started. 

Task

My fellow paleontologist, over the next week we are going to be looking for dinosaur bones. We will be split up into 3 groups, each group will have certain task to uncover the hidden bones amongst the desert. 

Groups will each be given 5 tasks every day that gets them one step closer to finding the whole dinosaur. By the end of the week each group will have have discovered their dinosaur and will tell the class the steps they took in order to find their bones.

Process

Alrighty young paleontologist its time to start your work.

First you will be looking at this game https://www.amnh.org/explore/ology/paleontology 

After that I will be handing out worksheets each day through out the week to help up figure out where your bones are. And on the last day we will be digging them up and seeing what dinosaurs you got! 

 

Evaluation

Okay my fellow paleontologist here is a check list to make sure you and your group get 100%

  1. You went on the website provided.
  2. All questions are answered on the worksheets provided every day.
  3. You and your group members have made an educated guess on what your dinosaur is based off the clues you got for that day.
  4. On the last day you and your will "dig" up your dinosaur.
  5. You will present to the class how you found your dinosaur and will state if you and your group guessed that correct dinosaur based on the clues that were given. 
Conclusion

Welcome back! I hope your digs for dinosaur bones was fun and educational. Being a paleontologist is fun isn't it?! We will come back and see what you have learned about your dinosaur.
