Introduction
In many countries, families are selling their older children especially their daughters to pay for food for the rest of their families. In some instances, they are being sold to be a wife, while in others they are being sold to be a slave. Please read this current article to see what is happening currently in Afghanistan.
Task
Although we think that human trafficking is just an issue in other countries, it is not. Youth and adults in the United States are also getting sold for money, drugs, labor, and sex among other things. In this Webquest, you will be going to a variety of pages to learn more about human trafficking both in the United States and Worldwide. After completing your research you will then create a public service announcement to inform, educate and help prevent people from getting involved.

Evaluation
After using the resources provided and answering the questions, you will make a public service announcement. The purpose of the announcement is to let people know about human trafficking, who it affects, signs that someone may be trafficked, and how to prevent it. Please include and an image to grab people's attention and a phone number for someone to contact if they believe they know someone involved. You are able to use google slides or canva to make a poster or create an infographic using canva or piktochart.
Conclusion
As you continue to learn about current issues both in our country and in our world, please take the time to investigate what is going on and be the change by learning ways to help yourself and others.
