Planets

Introduction

Hello and Welcome to the World of Astronomy!

Today in this activity, you will learn about the Solar system and different features of planets.

If you do not know what the solar system is, NASA defines Our solar system consists of our star, the Sun, and everything bound to it by gravity. Examples: Earth, sun, Moon, etc...

Below is a photo of the solar system.

8 Solar System facts to wow students

Go to the next section to learn more about your activity today, and HAVE FUN!

Task

1. Correctly match planets. Write the answers down on a piece of paper. RESEARCH IS ESSENTIAL!!

3. After look up information on planets! Your job is to primarily be able to identify the planets and have an understanding on their features. You will watch a video that will instruct you on this. TAKE NOTES!!

4. Once everything is completed you will create a presentation on your planet. BE PREPARED, YOU WILL PRESENT TO THE WHOLE CLASS. You will be given 5 minutes to present so make it clear and simple. You can add as many pictures as you'd like.

DO YOUR BEST AND GOOD LUCK, I KNOW YOU'LL ACE IT!!

Welcome to the world of Astronomy!

Let's start your research on Planets! Gather research needed for identifying Planets using kidrex.org

Number a piece of paper with the numbers 1-15 and write the answers as you identify each part of the solar system.

As you can see, there is a numbered picture of the Solar System! Match the names to the correct number! After you finish, there is an answer sheet provided below to check your answers.
