You will encounter some of the challenges that face entrepreneurs when they start a new business. These challenges include ways to identify a market, reach the market, and keep the market.
You will create 3 roles.
- President - this person will lead the group and assign tasks.
- Vice President - this person will check the work of the group for errors.
- Secretary - this person keeps track of all paperwork for the group. The paperwork will be kept in a file in the classroom so that all group members will have access. The secretary will also create a folder on the computer to store all downloaded WebQuest forms.

- Now that you have read and understood your responsibilities regarding this Pizza Project WebQuest, lets begin to outline the different tasks that you will be expected to complete.
- Some tasks are to be completed as a group and other tasks are individually completed.
- Make sure you read the directions before you begin each task.
After you complete the first task you may move on to the second task. Do not advance further then the task that you are currently on.
Task
Task One: Research Vocabulary Words (Individual Task)

Your first task is to gain a basic understanding of the vocabulary words that will be used throughout the unit.

Task Two: Creating a Customer Profile (Individual Task)

Your second task is to decide on what type of customers will be shopping at your pizza shop.

Task Three: Name & Location (Individual Task)

Your third task is to decide on a specific location and name for your pizza shop.
- Review the Customer Profile that your group created and decided on a specific location based on the customers that you choose.
- Before you discuss possible names read the website below for some tips when choosing a business name.

- Choose a name that is catchy and easy to remember. Keep in mind that names are listed alphabetically in the phone book, including the yellow pages. Be prepared to explain why you chose the name you did.

Task Four: Product Profiles & Prices (Individual Task)

Your fourth task is to decide what type of products you wish to sell in your pizza shop.

You should think about size of pizza, toppings, appetizers, sides, drinks and salads.

Once you save the file you will need to decide on the products that you wish to sell and include them on the worksheet.

After you have decided on the products that you wish to sell in your pizza shop, your will research various prices for those products at the following websites. Click on the links below and then find the restaurant's menu. Once you find the prices for the products, you will include the prices on the Product Profile worksheet.

Present your final prices in a chart using Google Sheet . The chart must include the product, prices, and sources. You should only make one chart per group. Save the chart in the Group WebQuest folder.

Task Five: Making the Menu (Individual Task)

Now that you have looked at several menus online for prices - it's time to design your own.

Search the website below and read about how one pizza shop makes a difference in the community by creating a fundraiser for your school called Giving Back Pizza. Pay attention to how the response from customers grows each year. Think about how your pizza shop could give back to the community in order to generate a larger customer base.

- Each group must create a PowerPoint presentation and divide the presentation evenly between the group members.
- Each group member will be assessed individually based on the criteria listed below in the checklist.
- Each group presentation should be between 7 and 10 minutes in length.
- Each individual presentation should be between 2 ½ and 4 minutes in length.
