Fairy tales... Why do we love them so much?
Let's find out if Disney stories can have different sides, depending on who tells them...
Task
By doing this Webquest, you will become aware of the differences the same story can have, it only depends on who is telling the story.
You will be able so see the two sides of the same coin and write your own version of Cinderella at the end of the unit.
Process
Step 1
Your first job is to research by listening to three online fairy tales. You can watch, read and listen to the narrator. Don't forget to use headphones while you listen to the stories.

Step 2
Once you have read all three online stories, you will go to a website that teaches all of the elements, or parts of a story. On this website, you will be reading the story, "Cinderella." Once you have finished reading and listening to the story, make sure that you follow all of the steps to learn the elements of the story.

Step 3
Next step is research. You will watch some great videos to see how different two sides of a story can be. The first story will be the classic version of "The Three Little Pigs". The second story will be a fractured fairy tale. It will be the "Three Little Pigs" story as told by the wolf! You will need to pay very careful attention to these stories. Make sure that you watch for all of the elements of a story that you have just learned.

Write down the differences between the same story on a separate word document! Three little pigs version and wolf version.
Step 4
First, talk to each other about all of the stories you read/watched online at the beginning of this WebQuest. Think about all of the possibilities for each story and decide which one you like best.
Try to write a different story/ending for ONE of these fairy tales. Remember, this is YOUR story. You can write it however you want as long as it resembles the original story in some way. We need to be able to recognize that it is a fractured version of an original fairy tale.
Finally, you and your partner can begin illustrating your story. I want each of you to work on this. Use these worksheets to organize the differences between the original story and your story or your ending.

Step 5
When all of the groups have completed their books, each pair will present their new ending of the story to the group, with illustrations if needed or digital support.
