The food we produce and consume comes from a variety of different types of plants and animals. Diversity not only plays an important role in our diet, but also plays an important role in nature. To contribute to the biodiversity of our planet, consider domesticated plants and animals used in agriculture, animal husbandry, forestry and aquaculture production. Even wild animals that have been hunted contribute to our food supply. However, biodiversity exists not only to satisfy human hunger. Biodiversity ensures that the ecosystem has a certain degree of resilience.

Question 1

1.1 The variety of plant and animal life in the world or in a particular habitat, a high level of which is considered to be important and desirable.

1.2  Healthy ecosystem and rich biodiversity: improve the productivity of the ecosystem; each species in the ecosystem has a specific niche-a role to play. Supports more plant species and therefore more types of crops. Protect freshwater resources.  Species capture and store energy, produce and decompose organic materials, assist water and nutrient cycles throughout the ecosystem, fix atmospheric gases, and help regulate climate. These functions are very important for ecosystem functions and human survival.  Biodiversity is essential for sustainable development and human well-being. It is the foundation of food, fibre and water supply; mitigation and provision of adaptability to climate change; supporting human health and providing employment opportunities in agriculture, fisheries, forestry and many other sectors.

Question 2

 2.1

2.1.1 Biodiversity

2.1.2 Food security

2.1.3 Malnutrition
