A SLEEPING BLACK BOY

3. the huge jacket covered his head, the heat onto his ears
4. he is dirty
5. the dirt screams from his flesh like a rotten smell
6. he is pinned down by the throbbing footsteps passing by
7. lullaby is the hiss of the water from the pond and the

Evaluation
The total mark: 14 marks
2 marks for each correct answer provided.
Conclusion
The goals of this task is to help you understand hidden synonyms in the poem and improve your vocabulary. It will give you more understanding about figures of speech that are being used in every poem. In the next class we will be looking at the background of the boy and the poem, in terms of what led him to be on the streets and made him to smoke glue and how he felt. We will also look at the other figures of speech such as alliteration, oxymoron, simile and onomatopoeia.
