- List the different types of Families.
- State what each family type consists of.
- Explain why family is important

The different types of families are :
Nuclear
Single
Extended
A nuclear type family consists of a mother, father, and a child or children.
Single Parent Family: Consists of mother or father and a child or children
Extended Family: An extended family may include grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, uncles, and other relatives in addition, to parents and children.

Importance of Family
~Family is important because it provides each of its members with love, support, and a foundation of values. Family members can coach, serve, and show each other the joys and hardships of life.
~Families are the primary foundational social unit in all human communities around the world. Healthy individuals inside healthy families are at the core of a healthy society. As a result, family is vital to society.
Task
Activity 1: Create a poster of Collages with the different family types
Activity 2: Create a digital family tree of your family using Canva.
Process
First Activity
1. Students are to go on Google and source pictures.
2. Using these pictures students are to create a 24 ✗ 20 inches poster consisting of the different types of families.
3. Creating a separate college for each family type on the same poster.
4. In the middle of the Poster students must write in large handwriting, "The Family"
For this activity you will need: Bristol board, marker, colored pencils, scissors, ruler, glue.
Second Activity
1. Students are to watch the video on " How to make your family tree on Canva (tutorial)."
2. After viewing the video students are to create a digital family tree of their own family at home using the app Canva.
