Introduction
This term, we have been studying the poetry of Wilfred Owen, a soldier who fought and died in WWI. This task will provide you with other people's experiences of war throughout the twentieth century.
Task
You are required to complete three diary entries, recounting the experiences of the following people:
- A nurse in WWII
-An Indigenous Australian solider serving in the Vietnam War
-A peacekeeper in East Timor
The diary entries need to be 250 words each. They should explain the types of work the person does, how they feel about the war they are involved in and what they think the meaning of war is for Australians.
Process
Go to the following sites to gain information about the experiences of the people you need to write diary entries for. From each website, write down 5 dot points of information that tells you about that groups experiences or feelings about war. You can then use these notes to create a fictional diary entries.
