Experiences of war

Introduction

This term, we have been studying the poetry of Wilfred Owen, a soldier who fought and died in WWI. This task will provide you with other people's experiences of war throughout the twentieth century.

Task

You are required to complete three diary entries, recounting the experiences of the following people:

- A nurse in WWII

-An Indigenous Australian solider serving in the Vietnam War

-A peacekeeper in East Timor

The diary entries need to be 250 words each. They should explain the types of work the person does, how they feel about the war they are involved in and what they think the meaning of war is for Australians.

Process

Evaluation

Once you have written your diary entries share them with Ms Ford robyn.ford20@det.nsw.edu.au
