Introduction
In Grade 10 you were introduced to the difference to the 3 different types of sectors and name an example of each.
There are 3 stages in the production process. The extraction of the raw material primary sector, the processing of raw materials into the products secondary sector , and the transfer of finished products to the consumers.
Based on these 3 stages and the activities they perform we can group business organization into the following 3 sectors; Primary sector, Secondary sector and tertiary sector.
Task
Business are classified into 3 business sectors which are primary , secondary and tertiary sector. Primary sector is where we extract the raw materials, in secondary sector where we do manufacturing or processed the raw materials and in tertiary sector is where we have to process goods and service into finished goods.
Read the following two scenario below and answer the question that follow:
LUNGI TRAVEL AGENCY ( LTA)
Lungi Travel Agency is providing transport services for local tours. She has the vision to expand her business to become one of national tour agency. Fast Travel Agency is one of LTA strong competitor as they offer tours 50% discount for using their services.
1.1 Name the business sector in which LTA operates. Provide a quotation from the scenario to support your answer. ( 4)
1.2 Describe the link/ relationship between the primary, secondary and tertiary sector. ( 6)
2. Read the scenario below and answer the question that follow.
NICKY MANUFACTURES ( NM)
Nicky Manufactures ( NM) specializes in the manufacturing of school uniform. NM buys their raw material from Sibela suppliers.
2.1 Name Two business sectors represented in the scenario above. motivate your answer by quoting the scenario. Use the table below as guide to the question.

Process
This lesson will cover the following aspects the primary, secondary and tertiary sector.
Learner needs to read the two scenarios in order to answer the questions.
1. A leaner has to read the scenario and name the business that LTA operates and provide a quotation from the scenario.
2 A learner has to describe the link between the primary, secondary and tertiary sector and provide practical examples for each sector.
3 A learner needs to understand the difference between the 3 sectors.
4. A learner has to be able to mention business sectors in scenarios.

Conclusion
This lesson was about the Business sectors which was the 3 main sectors namely the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors and the link/ relationship between the primary, secondary and tertiary sector.
