Introduction
Good morning guys, as we all know we are in unit 4 of the course and our topic is traditions and festivities. Today we will take a look at different festivities of our country in order to get a little closer to our own culture. You will have to choose one festivity from the list and create a c-map to show your classmates how that festivity works. Now, get ready to investigate!
Task
In pairs, I will give you a specific festivity of our country and look for information to answer the following questions:
-
WHAT do they celebrate?
-
WHERE does it happen?
-
WHEN is it celebrated?
-
HOW do they celebrate?
Once you get the information needed, use the links below to create an online c-map including all the questions. Make sure you use the proper connectors in order to present the information as clearly as possible to your classmates. And do not forget to include details such as dressing, food, music, or anything else that makes this celebration a special moment. Then, get prepared to present your work in front of the class.
Your main goal is to show the characteristics of a typical festivity of our country
Process
Step one: Your teacher will give you a specific festivity of Chile. This following page https://chiletoday.cl/chiles-top-10-cultural-festivals/ will help you with some characteristics of the festivities.
Step two : Enter to the website: https://cmapcloud.ihmc.us/ and create an account to start creating your cmap.
Step three: You have to answer the following questions: WHAT do they celebrate? WHERE does it happen? WHEN is it celebrated? HOW do they celebrate?. Using connectors, prepositions and different colors to each question. Be organised with the concepts. Check the spelling of words. You have 30 minutes.
Step four: After you finish your cmap, one member of the group has to present it to your classmates in no more than 3 minutes. Check the specific pronunciation of the words.
