Description: You will read information about a national holiday called Thanksgiving. Later, you will collect the most important information to organize it in a chart. Lastly, you will write a letter as if you were inviting friends over for a dinner to celebrate it.

INTRODUCTION:

You are a city manager who is organizing the Thanksgiving dinner for this year. One of the tasks you have to complete for this event is to send the invitations for it. Therefore, your job is to write a letter inviting the people to come over to the celebration. Good luck!

Task

You are the city manager and the big dinner for this Thanksgiving is coming. You are in charge of writing the invitations and delivering them. However, before that, you need to read about the origins of this national holiday and answer some questions about it. Then, the final objective is to write the invitation letter for the attendees and send it by email.

  5. What is the meaning of Thanksgiving's federal holiday status?

 

STEP THREE:

  • Write an invitation letter for the Thanksgiving dinner that includes the following elements:
  1. Greeting.

  2. Hour / Place / Date.

  3. Paragraph with historical aspects that includes the answers to the questions.
  4. Closing.
