Food and health - 6° básico

Introduction

 Welcome 6° year students!

Did you know that physical activities and food are closely related? We need food in order to get the necessary energy to do different activities. For instance, we must feed ourselves according to our daily energy expenditure. A good example of this relationship is the Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps.

In case you need any further help, here you have the present simple structure for your task.

Task

You will learn new information about Michael Phelps. Visit the website in order to have a reference about his daily meals and his favourite activity. In pairs, use this information as a guide to create a presentation about your favourite's superhero/artist healthy life. (It does not necessarily need to be real, use your imagination)

Michael Phelps fuels his swims with a gruelling 12,500 kcal-a-day diet

    • Types of food he/she consumes in every meal
