Introduction
Good day grade 8s. I welcome you to your first English WebQuest. In this quest, we will look at parts of speech. What are the eight parts of speech? What are their functions in the English language?
Words are everywhere. We use them every day and it is important that we know how to use them correctly. The parts of speech are essential building blocks of the English language. Each part has its own function and importance in the English grammar.
Task
In this task you are required to work individually in the quiz, then in a group of 4 when creating the poster. For the quiz you will get your mark obtained right after you have completed and submitted the quiz. For the poster you will be marked according to a rubric.
Complete the 10 question quiz over parts of speech found at the link below. After you have completed the quiz, with your group, create a poster with images and texts to describe the eight parts of speech along with example. Poster will be presented in front of the class.

Click on the provided links below about the different parts of speech you will also discover the meaning behind and uses that you were not aware of for parts of speech. Be sure to take notes! This will help you as you go about learning the different parts of speech.

2. Using the links provided below, research through the different sites in order to be able to understand and answer the basic questions on parts of speech and be able to answer and get 100% on the quiz.

4. Using a cardboard, learners will elaborate a poster with images and words in which they illustrate the eight parts of speech. Be Creative, use colorful pictures, and have fun.
5. Then, using the poster created, learners will present it to their classmates.
6. Posters will be turned in to the teacher for them to be posted on the bulletin board.
