1. Tuberculosis:
a) What causes TB?
b) How many people contract it every year?
c) What countries is it most common in?
2. Ebola:
a) What is the average fatality rate for Ebola?
b) When and where was the largest outbreak of Ebola?
c) When looking at the 'treatment and prevention' tab, list three stakeholders mentioned in the fight against Ebola.
3. Click on Ebola 'Fact Sheet and answer the following questions:
a) How is Ebola transmitted?
b) What measures have been put in place to prevent and control Ebola outbreaks? Summarise any three strategies.
c) What role does the WHO play when an Ebola outbreak occurs?
4. Malaria:
a) How many cases of Malaria was there in 2019 and how many deaths?
b) Who are the most vulnerable people when it comes to Malaria?
c) What are the symptoms of malaria?
5. Click on Malaria 'Fact Sheet' and read 'Disease Burden'.
a) What percentage of all malaria cases in 2019 were located in Sub-Saharan Africa?
b) Which 6 countries account for approximately half of all malaria cases?
c) What percentage of children under 5 accounted for all malaria deaths worldwide?
6. Scroll further down on this fact sheet and summarise the preventative measures being put in place to stop the spread of the virus.
7. Scroll down again to "WHO response". Summarise the goals that the WHO has to decrease malaria by 2030.
