ABP: INITIATIVES TO SAVE THE WORLD.

Introduction

Over the last lessons, we have learned all 17 different goals proposed by the UN to achieve a sustainable development by 2030. However, we should try to make a personal effort to get to these goals faster.For this project, you must work in groups of 3 or 4, and work with a given goal in mind. Then, you have to create an initiative with the following question in mind.

Task

1.Select your workmates.

2.Find information about your given goal.

3. Think of the research question "What can we do to achieve this goal by 2030? "

4.Propose an initiative that could help achieve this goal.

5. Create a PPT presentation that includes:

  • 1.Cover: Names, school logo, research question, and an original name for your initiative.
  • 2.Goal: briefly present the goal your initiative is connected to. This should be at least 2 paragraphs long.
  • 3.Introduction: why is it important to do something for this goal?
  • 4.Initiative (2-3 pages long): What is the name of your initiative? Who is this directed to? Who has to do this? How long will it take? What are the impacts of this initiative?
  • 5.Conclusion: Is it possible to do it? why? why not?

6.Your presentation needs to meet the following designing criteria:

  • at least 1 image per page.
  • The students are using one template from https://slidesgo.com/es/
  • There are no grammar or spelling mistakes that can cause difficulty when reading. You can check using https://app.grammarly.com/ , a good piece of writing has a score of over 70 pts.
  • The idea and content must be original. Plagiarism will be highly disapproved and evaluated with the minimum mark.

7. Your work must be submitted by May 12. Additional work may be asked to make sure you are using in-class time.

Evaluation

The following criteria will be evaluated. Rubric will be shown in class.

  • PPT: check the items to include inside the "task" tab.
  • Deadline
  • Connection to the topic.
  • Use of language.

 

Conclusion

Saving the earth is a work we can all do. Your initiatives can be as concrete or as social as you want to as long as it is possible to do them.
