Addition Grab Bag

Task

The task is to learn how to add by using two different objects together. This also helps with problem solving and fine motor skills. This can be used with K-2 grade students. 

Process

The students will get two bags/buckets, addition card, and two different sets of objects. The teacher will give them two numbers to add and they will write them in the box. The teacher will instruct the student to count out how many objects they need for each number. After, the objects are placed by each set of numbers the student will then count them together and write their answer. 

Evaluation

Is the project effective and useful to students? Does the project or lesson answer questions that would be answered? Is it easily understood by the teacher and students?

Conclusion

In conclusion this lesson or project is very sufficient to the student because it shows them an easier way to become familiar with adding numbers by using objects. Is gives you hands on and a visual of adding numbers. It helps with the fine motor skills and visual skills. this helps develop study skills for learning to add. You can also implement other activities such as: color, shapes, and sizes.
