In fact, Philippines is also considered as one of the LGBT friendliest nations in the South East Asia despite being a predominantly Catholic Nation (Bautista, 2019). The country has been recognized also by International forums, topping other countries across the globe in terms of closing gender gap between men and women in different dimensions (World Economic Forum, 2021). However, in the last decade, most Women and LGBT members in Philippines remained marginalized and disadvantage in different aspects.
