Introduction

The United States Constitution is a set of rules and laws. All the rules and laws are part of a single document, or piece of writing. Today, you will learn more about The U.S. Constitution.  After this webQuest, you will be able to describe some of the main purposes of the United States Constitution.

Task

In the following forty minutes, you will be emerging into an adventure that will change your knowledge about the Constitution. To learn more about the Constitution, you need to complete three tasks.

  1. Find two main purposes of the United States Constitution
  2. Using your own words, write a short paragraph( about four sentences) of the components of the U.S. Constitution. Make sure to include all components in your writing.
  3. Draw a picture. Think about why the U. S Constitution begins with the words we the people?

Process

1. To find the two main purposes of the U.S Constitution, go to the following link and read about the U.S. Constitution. You can write the information in your notebook to show proof of your work.

2.  After you watch the above video, write a short paragraph of the components of the United States Constitution. You need to make sure Include all components, and write at least four sentences.

 After you write the paragraph, go to the following link and answer the questions on the quiz. https://www.ixl.com/social-studies/grade-3/the-constitution 

After you are done with the quiz, take a picture of the quiz to show proof of your work.

3. Before you draw your picture, view the following cartoon, and think about what freedoms are you most thankful for. Share your thoughts with your classmates.
