Introduction

The students are 15 years old (10th grade, high school) and their level is pre- intermediate. 

Hi guys, today we're going to talk about Inventions with using the past tense we have learnt in previous lesson. 

  - Which invention do you find most important in the history?

  - Why is it important for you? 

Task

Warm-up:

 

 

Task 1: Students are given ten inventions and wanted to make a chronological order. 

After chronological order they are asked to predict the date of the inventions.

 

Task 2: Students are expected to prepare poster about inventions and inventors.

 

 

Process

Task 1:

Now we're going to do activity, before starting I want you to be groups of 4.

Please look at the words on the list for a second.

You're going to work with your group partners, I want you to put these inventions in chronological order. 

After chronological order I want you to do brainstorming and try to guess when these products were invented. after you finish we will decide the group that predicts the date closest.  Whichever group has made the best prediction will win the game :)

Task 2: I want you to make a poster about inventors. You can use the inventions which we talked about in previous activity. Remember that all the inventions was done in the past so don't forget to prepare your poster with using Past Tense.

Your poster should contain at least the answers to these four questions:

When did he/she born?

when did he/she died?

When did he/she invented .....?

which subjects did he/she studied?
