Introduction
Hi boys and girls! Today we are going to be learning about weather during the seasons! We will be making predictions about weather
conditions throughout this lesson. We are going to travel through the whole year in one day, so grab some clothes for all seasons!
As you go through each task, complete the weather graphic organizer.
Task
Throughout this lesson, you will learn about the different weather conditions that occur during a particular season. As you read more
about different weather conditions, you will complete a graphic organizer. Make sure you pay close attention to what you are learning!
Once you complete your graphic organizer you will answer questions about the lesson to test your knowledge on weather conditions
during different seasons.
After you research weather conditions, you will create a made up season and describe the weather conditions during your season.
Process
What is a Season?
A season is a period of the year that is distinguished by special climate conditions. The four seasons—spring, summer, fall, and winter—follow one another regularly. Each has its own light, temperature, and weather patterns that repeat yearly.
What are Types of Weather Conditions?
Common types of weather, such as temperature, clouds, and precipitation are called weather conditions.
Video
This is a fun video full of information on seasons and the weather that occurs during those seasons. I want you to watch and listen, paying close attention to the information it gives.

After you read, fill out your graphic organizer!
Test your knowledge
Now that you have filled out your graphic organizer, it is time to test your knowledge! Complete the question sheet and you will turn it in to me at the end of the lesson.
Evaluation
Now it is time to create your own season! Give your season a name and write down the weather conditions that come with it! After you describe it, draw a picture and share with a partner!
After you have shared your season with a partner, turn it in along with your graphic organizer and question sheet.
Conclusion
You have learned so much about weather conditions throughout the different seasons! Yay! I cannot wait to hear all about your discoveries!
