DESCRIPTIVE TEXT

A descriptive text usually focuses on describing a single location, object, event, person, or place. It endeavors to engage all five of the reader's senses to evoke the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and feel of the text's subject. Descriptive text is a text which says what a person or a thing is like. Its purpose is to describe and reveal a particular person, place, or thing. 

The descriptive text has its own rules in writing, including in the structure or composition of which must be written in order. If you are prompted to create descriptive text, then make sure the structure is as follows:

Characteristics of Descriptive Text

These characteristics are important for you to take into account when writing the descriptive text is not wrong. So make sure you use the  following features when using the genre will write descriptive text :

   1. Using the Simple Present Tense. Why use the simple present tense?  this is because we will describe a fact or truth that is attached to something or someone. And one of the functions of the simple present is to illustrate a fact or truth (eg fact: the sun is hot). Therefore, you should always use the first form of the verb (verb-1). Your example will illustrate the properties of your new car: The color of my car is black, it can run up to 500 km/hour.

  2. Because its function is to describe something by explaining its properties, then the text will be found many descriptive adjectives (adjective), as handsome, beautiful, tall, small, big, or if the adjective is derived from the verb, then you will find additional -ve, -ing, -not in tow,

 3. In the descriptive text we will often find Relating verb (copula) which is (as in characteristic number 1). In Indonesian is often interpreted as "is". Because the purpose or function of descriptive text is to describe, then definitely we will often find the word was (is). His name is Andy (his name was Andy), his height is 160 cm (height is 160 cm).

His father's name is Jeremy Jack Bieber dan his mother's name is Patricia (Pattie), Lynn Mallette. Justin has red hair, a sharp nose, and blue eyes. People say that his face is cute. It makes his fans being crazy when they meet him. Justin is a very talented musician. He can sing beautifully. He also can play some music instruments, for instance, piano, drum, guitar, and saxophone. Justin Bieber starts his career by releasing his first single "One More Time" and his album in 2009 entitled "My World." "Baby, Somebody to Love, and Never Say Never" is very popular with everyone in the world.
• Rupert Alexander Grint was born in Hertfordshire, England, on 24 August 1988. His nickname is Rupert. He is the oldest son of Nigel Grint and Jo Parsons. Rupert has bright red hair. His height is 180 cm. He is an active and humorous person. He’s also very humble. However, he is the shyest of the three Harry Potter co-stars. Rupert is arachnophobic. It means that he is afraid of spiders. He likes all kinds of music, but his favorite is classic rock and roll. His favorite school subject is Chemistry.
  
       These Hogwarts trios have been really good friends, not only on screen but also in real life. Their secret of friendship is that they always understand each other although they have different backgrounds and personalities. 

• Taylor Swift was born with the name Taylor Alison Swift. In daily life, an American girl is also commonly called Swift. She was born on December 13th, 1989. She is the daughter of Andrea Gardner Swift a housewife, and Scott Kingsley Swift, a stockbroker. Swift has a younger brother, Austin. Her musicality blood flowed from her grandmother, Majorie Finlay, which was an opera singer. Singer, who idolized Shania Twain and makes it a role model in her singing, is a country songwriter. Taylor Swift loves to sing since childhood. Her first song is “Lucky You” which she wrote while still sitting in school. Taylor Swift loves to write songs because she was a victim of bullying at her school. So, she wrote songs to eliminate stress on her head. Taylor Swift has been started singing since she was small. At the age of 3, she ever sang in front of a bunch of travelers while on holiday with her parents. Swift is also known by the media because of his golden curly hair and blue cat-eyes. Taylor Swift is very beautiful. She is tall and full of charm. Her skin is white, her eyes like a cat’s eye, it is blue. Her nose is sharp, she has curly hair. She has blonde hair color. Taylor Swift likes to sing while playing the guitar. Her songs are always can captivate every teenager. That’s because Taylor Swift always writes songs based on her experiences. Her appearance is very simple. By using a short dress and carrying a guitar, she sings in front of the audience. She always sings with relaxing and soulful.

             When Swift was in fourth grade, she won a national poetry contest with a three-page poem titled Monster in My Closet. At the age of 10, a computer repairman showed her how to play the three-guitar keys (chord), which later sparked her interest in learning the instrument. Afterward, Swift wrote her first song titled Lucky You. In 2005, Taylor Swift successfully hit a number of local labels with songs flagship. It is inseparable from the support of her family. Even in supporting her, Swift’s family finally decided to move and settle in Nashville. Its success continues with the album titled  Speak Now (2010) and Red (2012). Until 2014, she released the album in 1989, which is described as the first official pop album. This album is an album with the highest sales in the United States during 2014. Success in the music opened the way for Taylor Swift to face acting. Noted, she had starred in several films, such as Valentine and Hannah Montana: The Movie. However, its success was not always positive results. She was often been mocked by her senior. At the time of her victory speech, suddenly, the senior rapper Kanye West came on the stage and blasphemous Taylor Swift. Kanye found inappropriate Taylor won the award, which he said, the award is more appropriate given to Beyonce Knowles to the video Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It). The reason I like Taylor Swift is that Taylor Swift is very beautiful and good looking and she has a good voice and Taylor Swift won many awards. Taylor has taught me many things such us to be fearless to always fight for my dreams, to be myself, to never give up on my dreams.
