Hello Students!

Have you ever met a grumpy pig or someone who is always grumpy? Today, you will be listening to a story about a pig, who does not like his neighbor!

Task

Did you enjoy the story? I hope you did!

There are some words from the story that you might remember hearing. These words are pig, wall, chat, flower, garden, new, and play.

Rhyming Worksheet

You are going to complete the work sheet below about rhyming words. You are going to match the words on the left with its matching rhyming word on the right by drawing a line to each other.

Pig               Hat

Wall             Harden

Chat             Few

Flower          Yay

Garden         Shower

New              Fig

 Play             Ball

Poster

Its time to use your imagination! You are going to create a poster. On this poster you will need to choose a word. It can be any word, as long as it is not off the worksheet. You are going to write your word out on a piece of poster board. It needs to be big!  Then you will draw a picture of an item that rhymes with that word. Be sure it is neat and colorful!

Here is an example:

I used the word "mouse" and drew a house.

Here is my example mouse rhymes with house!

  • You need to flip to the back side of the paper and write your name.
  • Think of a word. It can be any word, but not from the worksheet or my example.
  • Write the word largely on the front of the paper.
  • Think of a word that rhymes with the word you wrote down.
  • Now that you have thought of a word that rhymes with it, draw a picture of it.
