- Figures of speech are words or phrases used in a non-literal sense for rhetorical effect. They often express their meaning by comparing one thing to another, and serve an unequalled role in the English language.
- Figures of speech make up a huge portion of the English language, making it more creative, more expressive, and just more interesting!
Task
- Define the following most common figures of speech. After you have defined them, write any form of a poem consisting at least five of these figures of speech.
