Basic Economics

Introduction

Economics sounds like a very complex topic that can be hard to understand, but really, you use economics every day! Did you buy or sell something? Or, maybe, you helped out a friend or had a doctor's appointment? Have you made a single decision today? It's all economics! This webquest will help you teach yourself all about goods, services, wants, needs, resources, and other topics! Let's get started.

Task

By the end of this webquest, you will have to have these tasks completed: -Create 2 posters containing images that visually explain the terms "Goods VS Services" on one poster and "Wants VS Needs" on the other. Magazines will be provided for you to cut out the pictures for the posters. -Create your own physical economics flashcards using the vocabulary provided.

Process

Click the links in order and read or watch or interact with the website to learn about economics. On the goods VS services link, make sure you click to the second page as well. On BrainPOP, explore the other educational tools on the website (there's even games to play). The Quizlet link also has other tools to explore. Click and use them please. Play the matching game and record your results on the paper you are provided.

Evaluation

We will review the information and terms you learned individually as a class after the webquest is completed. You will get a chance to present your posters. As a class, we will all work together to make a list showing examples of different resources (human, capital, natural).

Conclusion

Using this webquest, you learned all about economics! Write a 3-5 sentence paragraph explaining how you used economics recently and turn it in.
