Introduction

You are a time traveler from the year 2045. You were sent back to the year 2019 to help stop the spread of the upcoming and unknown Coronavirus pandemic. Your mission is to get a job at a radio station and promote public health and health promotion to help inform, and save the people of the past! It is up to you to help save the future!

Task

For this project, you need to make a podcast that explains basic public health to people on the radio. In the Process Tab, there will be questions to answer. You need to be sure that you answer every question in your podcast. When completed, please upload to the class canvas page.

For this project, please answer these questions.

 

  • What is health promotion?
  • What are some steps for personal health precautions?
  • What is a virus?
  • What is a bacteria?
  • What is the difference?
  • What is something we can do with helping general public help?
  • What are the effects of wearing a mask?

Once you have all of your information, go ahead and write a script that is engaging, and has personality! Then, go and record a podcast. You can use whatever software or app that you want. The rubric will be in the evaluation tab.

Applying  The student had all correct information.  The student had most all correct information. The student had some correct information. The student had no correct information. 
Understanding / Evaluating The student understand the concept, and can explain what the information is, and why it is important. Standard met.  The student understands the concept, but only half understands why it is important and can relay some information. The student does understand most information. Student does not understand any information. 

 

Conclusion

Congratulations! You have helped inform the people of 2020! Your radio station talk was very popular, and played in all major cities once it was discovered. You will go down in history!!
