Materials are matter that objects are made from.
What is matter?
Matter - is anything that has weight and takes up space. It is made up of particles.
Matter can be classified in three states Solid, Liquid and gas.
solids - keep their shape and are usually hard.
Properties of solid
- Rigid- means it cannot poured
- fixed shape - it doesn't take the shape of its container
- fixed volume - The measurement remains the same
Liquids - can be pour and change shape depending on the container they are in.
Properties of liquid
-Not rigid- It's a fluid and can be poured
-No fixed shape- The liquid shapes like its container.
-Fixed volume- The measurement remains the same
Gas- fills its container and takes the shape of the whole container.

- Not rigid
- Not fixed shape
- No fixed volume
