Introduction
You are all on the long journey to discovering a lifelong career. What will you choose? For now your job is to research a job that you think you might want to have as an adult. You will research where they work, what kind of work they do, and how they do their work.
Task
Now that you have chosen a job to research it is time to start the research. On May 5th you will turn in a written report that answers these questions:
1. Where does this person work?
2. What are normal working hours for this job?
3. Describe what this person does as their job.
4. What makes their job special?
5. Is this job dangerous?
To go with your written report you will need to conduct an interview with a person in the career you are researching. You must ask the following questions:
1. What are your day-to-day roles and responsibilities?
2. What is your favorite thing about this job?
3. How do you become successful in this job?
4. Do you work closely with other employees? If so, who and how do you work together?
5. What opportunities do you have to move up in your job?
Process
1. First you will pick a job to research.
2. Once you have picked a job you will begin doing the research.
3. When you have finished gathering your information you will need to do the written report.
4. With the help of your parents you will interview a person with the job that you have researched.
5. Bring your written report and completed interview questions on May 5th.

Conclusion
Once this assignment is complete the student will have researched a job and interviewed someone with that job. By doing these things the students have gained more knowledge about this jobs and are better equipped to decide on a future.
