Introduction

In preparation of All Saint's Day which is November 1st, you will be researching a Saint of your choice and learning the process of becoming a Saint. 

I can identify saints who assisted in the growth of religious life in the Church.

I can research a saint of choice and present using appropriate tools.  

I can understand the process and qualities of becoming a Saint in history.

Let's Go!!!

1. Now that we know the history behind All Saint's Day, let's dive in deeper in to the meaning or definition of a Saint.

  • Write down at least three qualities that you find important to what defines a Saint. Don't forget to use your Religion Notebook :)

  • Choose one of your choice to begin your Saint's Journey.    
  • You will be using your Saint's Worksheet to answer the following questions-

Questions about Birth, Death, and Canonization. 

Why did you choose this saint? 

2 Significant (Important) Life Events

Personal Qualities, Gifts, or Virtues of your Saint.

What lessons does this Saint teach us?

How can you apply this saint's virtue to your life today?

3. Using the links given, find your choice of Saint and sketch a picture. Use your sketchpad paper to draw. Remember to do your best work! This will be part of your presentation.

4. LASTLY, read about the process of becoming a saint. Write in your OWN words the five steps to the process. Use your Religion copybook.

5. IT'S time to prepare for your Presentation! You may use your notes and a visual aid to present to the class.

Here is what we will look for in your presentation:

  • Talk about your Saint's Life (Write a small 7-10 sentence paragraph with an introduction, three details or facts about your saint, and conclusion)
  • Why is this saint a role model to you?
  • Write a short prayer to your Saint. 

Ex:

Introduction: My Saint is _________. I chose this saint because ________.

Conclusion: These are some facts or details I chose to share about my Saint.
