                                                     Texas Constitution 

             Welcome class today's class is going to be about the Texas constitution. The Texas constitution is a document that explains the structures and functions of the state of Texas. In todays lesson will go over this document and find out why it exists and why it is so important to the people of Texas. We will be reviewing different web site to get a better understanding of the Constitution of the state of Texas. We will be discussing key points of the Texas constitution, for example, "Bill of Rights", "The Powers of Government" and "Legislative Department" just to name a few. 

              This lesson will take us all over the state of Texas, while reviewing The Texas constitution. These location in Texas will be places like Austin Texas, also known as the capital of Texas. In this lesson we will look at what effects us as residents of Texas. We will answer questions like what is The Constitution of Texas, What is the history of the constitution of Texas and were can I go to find information about Texas's constitution.

 

Task

             Today's lesson we will be going over a few key points that will help us understand the Texas constitution. These key points will be are road map on are journey to understand the Texas constitution. We will explore webs sites from all over the internet to find information on the Texas constitution. We are going to ask a few questions  like what is the Texas constitution? How does the Texas constitution help us?

This video give a lot of information on the Texas constitution and will be used as a reference for project. By the end of this lesson we will understand what the constitution mean to us and the residents of Texas.

Evaluation

             

We will evaluate our knowledge on how well we understand the content outlined in the content that we reviewed. The lesson will be given a grading point system, there will be five sections and each will be given twenty points for a total of one hundred points. The five sections will be,

1. The knowledge we have retained on the Texas constitution.

2. The understanding of the Texas constitution.

3. Covering all section of the Texas constitution.

4. The interaction in learning of the Texas constitution.

5. Knowing what the Texas constitution mean to each of us.

Conclusion

            In this Webquest you should have learned everything there is to know about the " Texas Constitution". This Webquest should get you excited about the Texas constitution. We will review are findings of the Texas contitution and what makes it so great.

(7)  Geography. The student understands the concept of regions. The student is expected to:

(A)  describe a variety of regions in Texas and the United States such as political, population, and economic regions that result from patterns of human activity;

(B)  identify, locate, and compare the geographic regions of Texas (Mountains and Basins, Great Plains, North Central Plains, Coastal Plains), including their landforms, climate, and vegetation; and

(C)  compare the geographic regions of Texas (Mountains and Basins, Great Plains, North Central Plains, Coastal Plains) with regions of the United States and other parts of the world.

(8)  Geography. The student understands the location and patterns of settlement and the geographic factors that influence where people live. The student is expected to:

(A)  identify and explain clusters and patterns of settlement in Texas at different time periods such as prior to the Texas Revolution, after the building of the railroads, and following World War II;

(B)  describe and explain the location and distribution of various towns and cities in Texas, past and present; and

(C)  explain the geographic factors such as landforms and climate that influence patterns of settlement and the distribution of population in Texas, past and present.
