Learning the Difference Between Living and Nonliving Things

Introduction

Hello class! This WebQuest is designed for you all to better know the difference between living and nonliving things. You will see descriptions, a video, fun facts, and much more to help you understand better. Have fun learning!

Task

Students will read the descriptions of living and nonlivings and read over the facts listed. Students will also watch the video that sings about living and nonliving things. After the students read and have a good understanding of the difference of the two, they will each write down five examples of both living and nonliving things and write a fact that supports why it is one or the other for each example on why it is living or nonliving and turn it in the next class period.

Facts:

  • They need food, water, and air to survive
  • They are made of cells

  • They use energy

Nonliving Things: Things that do not have any life in them, cannot breathe, and are not alive
