As you have read the book Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult, you know there are many different ways of dissecting and interpreting the book. In this webquest, you will learn about different key aspects and topics in and around the book.

2. What is the most common time of day that they occur? Does this fit with the story?

15. Answer in a short paragraph. Do you believe Lacey raised Peter to be a killer, or do you believe she did everything she could have done as a parent? And did Alex raise Josie to be a killer or did she do her best as a parent?

Evaluation

Write an essay based on one of the prompts: the max score is 60 points:

Prompt a: Does Peter deserve a lighter sentence due to mental illness or should he have received a more harsh punishment?

Prompt b: Josie shot Matt, but does this show that she was in an abusive relationship and trying to escape or was she faking her feelings in order to stay popular and was trying to keep that title whilst ending the relationship?

Prompt c: Who is a better mother Alex, or Lacey?
