Introduction
Brazil is a famous country because of its natural beauty. Many tourists visit our country every year, but most of these visitors go to the East coast to enjoy the paradise beaches. The richness of other regions are mostly unknown not only by foreigners, but also by Brazilians. You have been selected to work as a travel agent, and you have to convince travelers to come to Goiás. In order to do that, you will have to present this state as a unique and interesting place, by providing important information.
Let's explore Goiás!
Task
It is your job to convince people that Goiás is the best state to visit in Brazil.
In groups of 4, you must carry a general research about Goiás. Then you have to chose one specific city to focus on. Afterwards, you will present the relevant facts you found online about this place to the rest of the class. This task may be completed in PowerPoint, on a poster, or by creating a handout.
Process
- FIRST STEP
You have to work as group to learn more about Goiás in general. Research about:
Where is it located?
What is the weather like?
What is the main economical source?
What are the most important cities?
etc.
- SECOND STEP
After, each group will choose one specific city to explore and describe to the rest of the class. You have to be prepared to give the information bellow about the city of your choice.
How to get there (by car, by airplane, by boat, etc)?
Where to stay (hotels, hostels, camping, etc) and eat?
What is the cultural background (typical food and parties, urban legends, historical facts etc)?
What are its main attractions and their prices?
etc.

THIRD STEP - presentation
When you have all the information you are looking for, think about how you will present your city to convince your classmates to visit it on their next vacation. Use PowerPoint or any other tool to provide the details of your research. Be creative!

Conclusion
Even though the attractions in Goiás are not as famous as the ones in Rio de Janeiro for example, they are worth visiting. There are more fun places to go, and things to do in our state than people would normally think of. I hope you have enjoyed this experience, and could get to know Goiás better.
